Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital is a long-term acute care hospital that provides continued care for your patients with complex medical conditions requiring extended stays of 18–35 days in an acute care environment. Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital is designed to address the unique and complicated physical, emotional, spiritual, nursing, and rehabilitation needs of your patient.

Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital is an acute care hospital approved by the Commonwealth of Kentucky and certified by Medicare and Medicaid. An interdisciplinary team of nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, wound care consultants, pharmacists, dieticians, radiologists, laboratory technologists, case managers and social workers will provide collaborative, individualized care of your patient’s medical needs.

As an acute care hospital, physician involvement is required on a daily basis. Daily physician billing is allowed in the same manner as short-term acute care hospitals. Our reimbursement sources include Medicare, Medicaid and other health insurance carriers.
